With iMovie and our new ability to add video, we can now produce videos like this one. Enjoy!
This week we will learn about avalanches and write a non-chronological report about them.
Here are the links to the videos and pages we will study: More Forces Games/ Activities:
http://www.succeedingwithscience.com/resource.php?id=13 - Can you win the Forces Olympics? http://www.edheads.org/activities/simple-machines/index.shtml - Are you interested in beg On Sunday night I went to Edinburgh in a caravan and all I saw was the golden crispy sun shining bright. I went running though the sparking Emerald grass slushing my hair and dancing around the nice breezy air. Early Monday morning I looked out the tine window and I saw a frost cloud coming I know that there was snow coming. By time it got to 8pm at night it was 5cm. “Mam look where is the lovely green grass gone”. Mam can we go home because it is going really heavy? “No” but why. next, we got home before it got heavy.
My CARAVAN was covered in snow it was like an avalanche towering over the CARAVAN.
The FROST was hanging from the window like some knifes. I remember when Tanfield lea was full of GREEN grass but now it is full of white snow. When you RUN in the snow you sometimes fall over and when it turns to slush and you RUN on it splashes you and your others friends. Also when you walk in the snow it is quite HEAVY because if there is loads of snow you carnt hardly walk. In wonderful winter the fields of lush GREEN grass are covered in FROST and snow. Even though the snow is light and fluffy, it’s HEAVY on my feet when I try to start RUNNING. The old rusty CARAVAN -abandoned by its owners in the distant field- is covered in a thick blanket of snow, making it blend in with its breath taking surroundings. The snow crumbles in my gloved hands like a fluffy cloud in the sky. A glittery snowman shimmering under the moonlight by the road side waves at cars as they splash sludge onto the path and him!
My CARAVAN was covered in snow we had to dig all the snow from the bottom to take it to the Lake District. In Kendal the frost was so bad that we had to sleep with the dog. The dog was running through the fields with his hair as wet as the sea. The frosty green grass was as emerald as can be. The snow fell heavily as the dog was running through the snow. He caught snow balls in his mouth. However the frost is as nice as a bunch of flowers.
My family and I went to the white fields (snow) in our CARAVAN. I said to myself “I remember the GREEN fields.” The caravan had FROST on the roof, the windows, the door and a bit on the wheels. In the morning I went out to play in the snow and it was hard to walk in the snow because it was HEAVY. Then I started RUNNING around. It was fun! After, I went back inside and had my dinner, it was delicious. Later that day I went on a walk with my family, which was tiring.
